ESL, GED, Workshops, and Services

Children succeed when their families succeed.

MARC provides free ESL, twice each week, and GED-preparation programs so that parents can more actively participate in their children’s’ educations, while increasing their own opportunities and earning potential.

Parents can also benefit through our:
  • Quarterly nutrition and health-awareness workshops.
  • Social work support.
  • Health and nutrition support.

Family Literacy program. This highly demanded program is expanding to include an intermediate level.

Health & Nutrition

We are committed to supporting both the education and health of children and their parents. In addition to health center referrals, MARC also provides nutritious meals and snacks for children and nutrition and health programs for both children and their parents. MARC holds nutritional and health awareness workshops for parents on a quarterly basis.

“MARC does an amazing job at prioritizing nutrition. They've demonstrated their commitment by actually changing the foods and beverages they serve to the kids,” said Brooke Bennett, Nutrition Coordinator, Bronx Healthy Hearts/Bronx Health REACH.

As part of our commitment to provide referrals for families at community health centers, we have relationships we work with groups such as the Walton Family Health Center, Morris Heights Medical Center and Bronx Health REACH.
